Slow Jams and stuff

woah i hasnt writened in a whiles...

anyway the special on today's menu is all about those smoooth, sensual sounds known as 'slow jamz'.
i have a lot of time, too much free time... which is usually wasted mindlessly and aimlessly wondering the internet, sleeping, eating, over sleeping, over eating, watching tv, etc.

when im studying, well, when im pretending to be studying, i like to listen to music. i try to resist the temptation of listen to the same favourites over and over again, by expanding my musical...something, vocabulary?

anyway, slow jams...sometimes you needa just take a step back, reduce the pace of the song, less fancy effects and stuff, and rly focus on the beat and vocals... create something that has real meaning and sound, something with real soul, ya dig?

i has been exploring some of the famous rnb soul jammers - jodeci, boyz ii men, swv, tevin campbell, keith sweat, ginuwine, prince, donnell, and others. i has compiled my top foteen (not in order) of some rly nice songs i found:

boyz ii men - 'ill make love to you'
jodeci - 'all my life'
jodeci - 'feenin''
prince - 'adore'
prince - 'do me baby'
tevin campbell - 'im ready'
keith sweat - 'twisted'
keith sweat - 'get up on it'
keith sweat - 'nobody'
swv - 'weak'
ginuwine - 'differences'
joe - 'i wanna know'
tony! toni! tone! - 'lay your head on my pillow'
dru hill - 'beauty is her name'

so ye biim's ill make love to ya everyone knows this.

jodeci, nuff sed. all my life, another classic.
"i cant leave u alone... u got me feenin'!" thats a cool word, feenin'

prince (like mj) is another wierdo irl, but u cant argue with his music. hes got this rly freaky sexy voice (which i imagine might turn the ladies on... or potentially make them repulsively shudder from grungyness)...
"until the end of time, ill be there for you. you are my heart and mind, i truly adore you. if G-d one day struck me blind, your beauty id still see. love is too weak to define, just what u mean to me..."

lol i personally rly like tevin's 'im ready'. think its got a rly deep sound...iunno just something about it that speaks to me. "and maybe i am the fool you call me, cuz ill be here standing waiting, for u to say to me...im ready, to love you"

keith sweat has got some good stuff. 'u got me twisted over u' .

ginuwine's 'differences' kinda sounds like jt's until the end of time...cept more cooler, more genuine (rofl).

'lay your head on my pillow!' (some girls got fetish for foursomes with guys all named tony?)

so ye some smooothness to set the moods, chill to, relax to, soul to, verb to, and stuff!
